We are delighted to invite you to Newcastle Contemporary Art (NCA) on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m., as we gather our friends, partners, and supporters to celebrate the opening of our new exhibition, Stepney Western.

We encourage you to join us for the 5 pm welcome and 5:30 pm screening, where Harry Lawson and some of the young people involved in Stepney Western will be present to discuss the project. The 5:30 pm screening will also feature a live performance of the film’s theme tune by Jayne Dent (Me Lost Me).

This exhibition features a new film by Newcastle-based artist and filmmaker Harry Lawson, alongside archival photography from Richard Blosse, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Dean Chapman, Mik Critchlow, Martine Franck, Chris Killip, Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen, Tish Murtha, Davey Pearson, and more.

It is free to attend the event, but we expect it to be busy so please RSVP via Eventbrite to secure a space.
